When Apple launches a new iPhone every year, local telcos come up with new price plans to fit every budget.

This year, thanks to the skyrocketing exchange rate, owning an iPhone has become more challenging than ever,
so finding a subsidised price plan that fits your budget is even more important.

Don't fret. We've prepared a price comparison chart, as we have done in the past, so you can decide for yourself which of the four major telcos is the best fit.

We've simplified things – so you don't have to wade through nitty-gritty – emphasising the actual price you need to pay upfront, as well as the price the iPhones will be after rebates have been applied.

Big time: The bigger iPhone 6s Plus also has a much bigger price this year, so you're better off opting for one of these price plans

Like before, we've opted to leave out MMS and SMS charges – with a modern data plan and apps like WhatsappWeChat and Line, MMS/SMS is no longer essential.

Note that in addition to Maxis, Digi and Celcom, U Mobile has also been added to the chart, and it has one of the more affordable plans in the list, although you pay slightly more for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus upfront.

Some explanation is necessary for some of the information listed in the chart. For one thing, if you look at the chart for Digi's data quota, it says "3GB + 2GB", "4GB +2GB" and so on – the extra 2GB added on top of the actual quota is part of a promotion where Digi is offering an extra 2GB for 12 months.

Similarly, Celcom is offering additional 12GB "complimentary Internet" for all its packages although the company does not have details on how long this offer will last.

Obviously, the chart has gotten even bigger than before and due to the limitations of our system, you can't click on the image to get a larger more readable one, so instead, we're providing a link on our Google Drive for readers to access a downloadable PDF version for easy viewing.
